Students enrolled in any of the community college-based or university-based programs funded through these federally funded workforce training grants are eligible to “register” for a potential placement into a “practicum” experience within the REACH program (regional HIT extension center) serving Minnesota and North Dakota A “practicum” is a virtual or on-site practical experience that involves either hands-on participation in projects or observational opportunities associated with project activities that are under the direction of REACH field staff. “Practicums” are volunteer (non-paid) experiences and require students to bear any costs associated with necessary travel, etc. to fulfill the requirements of the experience. “Registered” students will be matched with potential “practicum” projects/opportunities based on fit between the requirements of the project/opportunity and each student’s profile (specific program, availability, etc.). Please note: due to the limited availability of practicum slots, not all students are guaranteed a “practicum” placement.
