Did you hear the story about the software project that was a year behind schedule and several thousand dollars over budget? It can be avoided. This presentation will introduce the audience to project management principles. The emphasis will be on what is essential for a successful project and what common behaviors will inevitably result in project failure.
Two toolsets, one for physicians in small practices and one for independent pharmacies, for supporting e-prescribing implementation are available from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Designed to offer a step-by-step guide for preparing for and launching an e-prescribing system, they include advice on topics ranging from planning the implementation process to navigating into more advanced practice and pharmacy services.
This webinar from the HITRC Learning Center provides the context – both historical and research-related – for the clinical summary, review implementation tips, and discuss implementation issues with successful implementers in a question and answer (Q & A) format.
