Total Cost of Ownership - What an EHR really costs (for Clinics)

Tuesday, February 8, 2011

Noon to 1:00 p.m. CT

Reduce the risk of under budgeting/overspending for an electronic health record (EHR) system. This Webinar will also illustrate ways you can assign financial value to quality and other intangible benefits. The result will be a business case you can take the bank and a budget you can take to the board.

Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify all costs and benefits associated with acquiring an EHR
  • Translate intangible benefits into potential financial benefits
  • Construct a business case and return on investment analysis
  • Create a budget with final vendor data
  • Use the business case to establish expectations for achieving EHR goals

In preparation for the upcoming REACH Webinar, participants should refer to the Business Case: Total Cost of Ownership and Return on Investment Tool for Clinics [Excel File] as homework.

Who should attend

Administrators, CEOs, CIOs/IT staff, physicians, providers, and project managers.
