Julie Jacobs, REACH health information technology (HIT) field consultant, provides HIT services to ensure that clients achieve meaningful use of their electronic health records (EHR).

The experience you need

Julie has led and managed HIT software implementations for a large Minnesota health system as well as small, private-practice clinics. Her experience has included working with hospitals and clinics in implementing and adopting HIT, as well as the successful adoption of EHR in rural settings. She has more than 20 years’ experience in HIT and an additional 17 years experience in other roles in hospitals and clinics.

REACH clients benefit from Julie’s extensive knowledge in software application implementations for hospital and clinics. She has developed business change management and quality reporting strategies and served as an EHR system specialist and project manager for several health care organizations including OfficeSmarts, Inc. and HealthInformatics Resources, Julie’s own HIT Consultancy firms, HealthEast Care Systems and Healthways, Inc. She has taught pharmacology as an adjunct faculty member in the allied health professions. Julie also is a licensed registered nurse and has worked in acute and ambulatory care settings.
